Al-Fanar Media Relaunches Its Scholarships Database for Arab Students

Building on the success of its “Scholarships for Arab Students” resource tool, Al-Fanar Media, the leading online publication covering Arab higher education, continues to support Arab students with a new, improved version of the tool that helps students find the best local and international scholarships. The resource includes available scholarships for refugee students as well.

To celebrate the relaunch, Al-Fanar Media is holding a storytelling contest, “Mishwar Taleb,” for all Arab students.

“Students in the Arab world who seek scholarships are often searching websites that post thousands of scholarships every month, rendering the search for scholarships time-consuming and confusing. Our scholarships research team does the research and screening on behalf of the students and curates the best scholarships from around the world relevant to Arab students,” says Nadia El-Gowely, executive director of Al-Fanar Media.

A curated list that protects students and saves their time

Al-Fanar Media believes every student should be protected from bait and scam scholarships and makes sure none of them are posted on the website. Each listing has the scholarship details and information on how to apply.  Students spend less time searching and more time applying to the right scholarships.

Al-Fanar Media sends notifications to the students’ mobile phones every time a new scholarship is posted and sends a weekly newsletter with the latest listings and related articles.

The Scholarship Resource Tool offers students more than scholarship listings. A link on the page takes readers to another Al-Fanar Media resource, “Internationally Accredited Universities and Programs.” This searchable database provides the students with a listing of 400+ internationally accredited universities and academic programs.

Moreover, students can browse the “Related Articles” section on the Scholarships page, which offers select in-depth articles about students, universities, higher education, online learning, and topics related to students’ educational journey.
