Description

The Arab Master’s Programme in Democracy and Human Rights (ARMA) is a programme designed for students, professionals and experts who want to deepen their knowledge and develop their skills in the field of democratic governance and human rights in the Middle East and North Africa. It is part of the Global Campus of Regional Master’s in Human Rights and Democracy supported by the European Union.

The programme consists of two semesters:

The first semester: intense courses and trainings.

From September to January, students will attend seminars and workshops at Saint Joseph University in Beirut. After training in research methodology, and doing several field visits, students will conduct week-long field research on refugee issues.

The second semester: research and field experience.

From February to June, students will carry out their personal research and complete their thesis on a topic relevant to democracy and human rights. This will be done in one of our partner universities across the Arab world, according to the topic each student has chosen.
