The Maroun Semaan Women Leaders in Engineering Scholarship program aims to foster female leaders and agents of change in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at the American University of Beirut (AUB).
The scholarship aims to offer undergraduate scholarships to three women who will be newly enrolled at AUB. The scholarship is designated for prospective students who meet stringent financial aid requirements, and award criteria consider grades, demonstration of leadership skills, extracurricular activities and community involvement.
Awardees will be granted full-tuition scholarships including housing at AUB dormitories. They will also be paired with a mentor for guidance and support needed to develop as future leaders and will be placed as undergraduate research assistants in a lab related to their major.

Students must be women, accepted into AUB, and financially disadvantaged.
